They Wont Believe It's A Wig! Very Realistic Synthetic Half Wig

So as you can tell by the title of this post I have been rocking a half wig that everyone thinks is my hair! Even my own sister made a comment about my hair without realizing it wasn't mine. Sis, I even had a client come into the salon and swear me up and down I had relaxed my hair. I had to slide my wig to the side and reveal my braid down for her to believe me.

You might be wondering what is this magical wig and how can you get your hands on it. It's called "Heavenly Girl" by Freetress Equal. It is a half wig that doubles as a drawstring ponytail. I absolutely love the drawstring feature because it is small head friendly and I can make the wig as tight as I need it.

How to install the wig:

I like to wear my wig half up half down but with no leave out. I've listed the steps below to achieve this look.

1. Part a small section of hair on the front of your hair from ear to ear

2. Place this section in a ponytail and save it for later.

3. Next, you will need to moisturize the back of your hair with a leave-in conditioner and seal with an oil or hair butter.

4. Once you have moisturized the back of your hair you can place in in a low ponytail however if you can cornrow I highly suggest 4-5 braids, a beehive braid, or 4-5 plats.

5. After you hair is properly moisturized and braided you are ready to apply your wig. At this step you should have a ponytail at the front of your head and a braid down or ponytail at the back of your head.

6. Apply your wig cap (optional) to the braid down/ ponytail at the back of your head.

7. The wig has two combs built in. Press the first comb at the top of your head under your braids (just behind your sectioned off ponytail). Once that is secure at the top place the second comb under you braids at the nape. If the unit does not feel secure you can pull the drawstring to keep it in place.

8. Next, you want to moisturize your hair at the front of your head and place it in a ponytail. At this step you may also lay your edges and secure them with a silk or satin scarf.

9. We're almost done! next you want to braid you pony tail at the top. Here's where the fun begins. You want to take another ponytail holder and a little bit of your hair from the top of the wig and place it in a ponytail with your now braided ponytail. At this step your wig should be installed and secured with a high ponytail that has a braid (your hair) and loose hair (the wig).

10. Last, you want to take your braided tail and wrap it around the loose hair and secure it with a hair pin. Viola! You're done.

You now have a half up half down hairstyle that resembles relaxed or straightened natural hair without using any heat or chemicals! This is a perfect protective style for fall and winter or if you want to play with new hair colors without altering your actual hair. For care I highly recommend taking your wig off at night and reapplying it daily. This will keep your hair from being damaged by the wig combs and it gives you an opportunity to detangle your wig properly. To detangle your wig use a wig spray and wide tooth comb or wig brush.
