Start Making Money Drop Shipping On Etsy Today!

Updated: Sep 18, 2020

Hey gorgeous! My name is Kia. Welcome to my blog! I'm a natural hair enthusiast turned master cosmetologist. On my site, you can expect business tips, hair tips, product reviews and more! Check back periodically or follow me on IG or Youtube to see what I'm up to.

Since I've had some extra time on my hands during quarantine I decided to research

some passive income ideas and I discovered you can now drop-ship with Etsy. Drop shipping when you move (goods) from the manufacturer directly to the retailer without going through the usual distribution channels. How much more passive can you get than drop shipping! Now there is some work on the front end! You will have to set up your store and create some designs but after that the store can pretty much run itself. Let's jump into the set up!

Step 1

Do your research! I highly recommend choosing a specific niche for your store. The way you can choose your niche is by going on google trends and doing a search for trending topics. Some examples of niches are, dog mom, nurse t-shirts, farmer, and gamer. Once you've chosen a niche you can proceed to the next step.

Step 2

You will need to set up an Etsy store. This is pretty self explanatory you can do this via the Etsy seller app or directly on Etsy.com. You will need an email address and a unique name for your store. I recommend naming your store something similar to your niche. No worries if your store name is take, Etsy will give you some recommendations to get you started. Once you create an account you will want to customize your store.

Step 3

Head over to Canva.com and create a logo and banner for your store. Canva has

hundreds of templates to choose from. You can literally search logo, pick a design, put your name and favorite colors inside and Viola! You'll want to do the same thing for your store banner. Once you've done this head back to your store and give yourself a bio/

store description and link your social media if you want to. Once you've done this it's time to create your first product.

Step 4

Now it's time to create your first product. I recommend heading back over to Canva.com and choose from their pre-existing templates. If you are opening a greeting card store you can search greeting cards, choose a design, and put in your custom text and colors. Once you've created a design you'll want to download the product file and upload the design to Etsy.

Step 5

Once you've uploaded your product design you'll want to give the product a good description, some relevant tags, shipping details, and select a product partner. For the product partner you'll want to list Printful as your partner and give a brief description and answer 3 questions about your partnership.

Step 6

Next you'll need to create an account on Printful.com. Once you've gone through the steps to create a Printful account, connect your billing information, then you can connect your Etsy store. To connect your store click store in the main menu (left column on your desktop) choose Etsy from the list of platforms and click connect. Once you click connect a new screen will open on Etsy and ask you to allow access to Printful.

Step 7

Your design from Etsy will auto populate in Printful you'll want to choose a design and mockup to connect to your product listing and thats it. Rinse and repeat create as many designs as your heart desires!
