4 books I wish I read in my 20s

Updated: Sep 2

Hey gorgeous! My name is Kia. Welcome to my blog! I'm a natural hair enthusiast turned master cosmetologist, hair loss specialist, and a full-time entrepreneur. On my site, you can expect business tips, hair tips, product reviews, and more! Check back periodically or follow me on IG or Youtube to see what I'm up to.

When I was in my 20's I was focused on dating, partying, and traveling. I did luck up and buy my first house at 24 but I sold it by 29 and outside of one student loan being paid off I couldn't tell you where the rest went.

When I was in corporate America my only goal was to make more money. I wasn't intentional about my career, my goals, or where I was going in life. Knowing what I know now I wish I had read the following books to help with my mindset and personal development. Since consuming these books my life has made a complete 180. After you read them yours will too!

1. Think and Grow Rich

"During the past twenty-five years I have been blessed with more good fortune than any individual deserves but I shudder to think where I'd be today, or what I'd be doing if I had not been exposed to Napoleon Hill's philosophy. It changed my life."

--Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman in the World Read more people's feedback here.

2. The Game of Life and How To Play It

By studying and practicing the principles laid down in this book, one may find prosperity, solve problems, have better health, achieve personal relations-in a word, win the game of life. --Norman Vincent Peale Check out more reviews here.

3. The Secret

You will want to share this with your friends and family and they will be grateful for it. This book gives hope for what many have been waiting for-- a shift in the way the world thinks. --Cynthia Black, President, Beyond Words Publishing Check out what people are saying about this book here.

4. You Are A Badass At Making Money

You Are a Badass at Making Money is a testament to the fact that, in Jen’s words: “If my broke ass can get rich, you can too.” Check out the awesome reviews here
